Long-established as one of South Africa's most acclaimed furniture and product designers, Tonic approached us to assist in producing a comprehensive stationery palette, as well as a more contemporary digital presence.
A MINIMAL YET RICH IDENTITY
We created a simple yet powerful visual identity, capitalising on Tonic’s pared down sensibility, but infusing the visual language with greater memorability. A new colour palette, paring a signature old gold with dusky pink, warm grey and rich blue, reflects the hues of their product line.
FINELY FINISHED STATIONERY
When designing the complementary stationery range, we applied a minimal information grid to each format, in reference to Tonic’s considered, consistent product aesthetic, while selecting tactile paper stocks that pay homage to the textural palette of their materials and fabrics.
A DIGITAL SHOWROOM
Tonic’s website was designed to reflect the same sense of rich minimalism created by the printed collateral, while re-creating the experience of walking into the physical showroom. A comprehensive product catalogue was complemented by new photographic art direction.
